The 2022 NAPPN Annual Conference will be held in Athens, Georgia, and highlight the most recent advances in the rapidly developing field of Plant Phenotyping.

A Hybrid Conference

The 2022 NAPPN Annual Conference is a hybrid event, with in-person scientific sessions, hands-on workshops, science cafés, networking events, and more. This conference can also be streamed live through Whova for virtual attendance across the world. All registered attendees can access all conference materials and activities through Whova. If you are using a Desktop, you can use the Whova Portal. Mobile Users can use the Whova app.

Based on previous communications with our membership, fully vaccinated status is required for in-person attendance. We also require a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the start of the conference. A waiver is available through Whova by which in person attendees can confirm this status. This conference also adheres to the policies set forth by all local, university and businesses engaged in conducting the event.

Please be aware that registrations are non-refundable, but they are transferable. In the event that the conference moves to a virtual-only format, all in-person registrations will be converted to virtual registrations at no cost with a refund issued for the difference. Sessions

Scientific sessions will cover topics such as Computational Plant Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Phenotyping, Sensor & Systems, Engineering, Phenomics Enabled Biology, and open-source platforms and will be geared for an interdisciplinary audience of scientists. These topics will be supplemented through hands-on workshops and field trips to actively engage attendees. Early career students and postdocs can participate in fast-forward talks on the main conference stage. In the evenings, attendees can come together for networking events and science cafés that will encourage interaction with the local Athens, GA community.

Registered attendees can access the conference live through virtual attendance and participation via the Whova Portal. Sessions will stream live through Zoom, and on-demand through Vimeo for three months after the conference. Connection information will be available on the day of the conference through Whova. Moreover, all registered attendees can upload content such as figures or posters to share with other attendees, accessible through the Whova conference app.

    The 2nd annual NAPPN conference features four days of engaging plenary talks, scientific talks, fast-forward talks, science cafés, hands-on workshops, podium debates, training sessions, field trips and tours, and networking opportunities. Sessions will stream live through Zoom, and on-demand through Vimeo for three months after the conference.

    Speakers and presenters from a diverse community of scientists spanning disciplines such as biology, engineering, agronomy, computer science, and data science will present the latest advances in plant phenotyping.
